The ReTOOL Program team is closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 as well as the University of Florida’s responses and recommendations to reduce its spread. In order to align with the University of Florida’s policy, the 2020 ReTOOL Program will take place online. Trainees will not be moving to and working in a lab at any of our three campuses. Instead, trainees and their assigned mentor will work together to come up with an online based research project. The ReTOOL Program will be using Zoom to carry out all aspects of this year’s program.
Many features of the ReTOOL Program already take place online, but the program team is working to finalize all details. Trainees will still receive a stipend and will continue the program as planned. It is essential for trainees to complete all necessary paperwork and financial applications as soon as possible. Not submitting these documents in a timely manner may result in delayed stipend disbursements, delayed lab start date, or other delays.
As the ReTOOL Program moves online, emails will be sent to trainees with information. All questions may be directed to ReTOOL Program Manager Ms. Parisa Fathi at p.fathi@cop.ufl.edu or 407.313.7022.
